How to accept Ether

  1. Create a ETH deposit address

Send one request with the URL to notify and the EVM wallet that receives the money. The same callback URL always returns the same address.

    curl "https://api.trezorpay.com/eth/create/?callback=https://your.shop/paid?order=42&address=0x62f90a0Cde262228Afd74939E04d32E23Ec25677&pending=1"
  2. Show the address to your customer

Display address_in, with a QR code from /eth/qrcode/ if you like. Your customer pays at least 0.0015 ETH; the address never expires and can be paid any number of times.

  3. Receive the funds and a signed callback

After 3 confirmations (about 35 seconds), we forward the payment to your wallet and call your URL with pending=0, value_forwarded_coin, txid_out, coin=eth, signed in x-ca-signature. Answer *ok*.

ETH on Ethereum

Ethereum mainnet has the deepest liquidity and the highest gas costs, which is why its minimum payment is the highest of all routes.

For ETH, the network cost of forwarding comes out of the payment itself: you receive the amount paid minus our fee and the gas of the forward.

Ether payments: questions

What is the minimum Ether payment?

0.0015 ETH. A smaller payment is still recorded and shown in /logs/, but it is not forwarded, so that the network cost can never eat the payment.

How long until a Ether payment reaches my wallet?

We forward it once it has 3 confirmations on Ethereum, which takes about 35 seconds on average, then send your server a signed callback with the forwarding transaction id.

Who pays the network fee for Ether?

The gas of the forwarding transaction is taken from the ETH payment itself, so you never hold ETH for fees.

Do I need an account to accept Ether?

No. There is no sign-up and no API key: one request to /eth/create/ with your callback URL and your EVM wallet returns a deposit address. Funds go straight to that wallet.
